Brodbeck - Texas Republic Viognier
Legend has it that in 1865, Texan Jacob Brodbeck became one of the first people to take to the skies—decades before the Wright brothers—launching his experimental “airship” from a field near Luckenbach. Powered by ingenious coil springs, the craft reflected the same inventive spirit behind his earlier creations, including a self-winding clock. After enduring the long boat journey from Germany, Brodbeck was convinced there had to be a better way to travel. His attempt may have been brief, but it captured something enduring about Texas: bold ideas, creative minds, and the willingness to try the impossible.
This Viognier celebrates that spirit of imagination and discovery — bright, aromatic, and gracefully lifted with notes that soar from blossom to fruit. Elegant yet adventurous, it’s a tribute to those bold enough to chase the horizon and dream beyond it.
